My month long trip to Malaysia was such an amazing experience. From volunteering in Kuching to exploring west Malaysia – it was a roller coaster of adventures. When in Langkawi, I had the chance to spend some time at the lovely Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi Island. This hotel has it all from amazing (And cost effective) seafood, cultural shows, nightclub and several swimming pools. Doesn’t it sound like the perfect family getaway? It sure is!

Things to do at Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi Island
Cultural Show at Aseania Resort
Every Mon, Wed and Fri and Sat night, Aseania has an amazing cultural show coupled up with a sweet outdoor BBQ dining & buffet experience. With the well-lit-up enchanting rainforest themed backdrop, the poolside changes 360 degree on these 4 nights.
The show itself showcases the best dances from India, Malaysia, China, Arabia and more along with a entertaining fire show as the grand finale of the event.
The buffet dinner is extremely palatable and I can see why the show is so popular among locals and travelers alike. It is definitely a “must see” if you enjoy cultural experiences and excellent food at a one time cost effective entry fee. Open for all in-house as well as walk-in guests, this show is the highlight of Aseania resort.

Enjoy the best Seafood in Langkawi
At Aseania Seafood, I can guarantee you will get to relish the absolutely best seafood in Langkawi, without putting a dent in your wallet. I was myself surprised to see how affordable and delectable the dishes were. They even have live music every weekend and on special occasions.
Chef favorites were obviously my top dishes like the butter jumbo Prawns and the crab meat soup. However, one of the soups my mom tried was a show stopper – “Spicy hot and sour Szechuan soup“. We were full to the brim by the array of amazing dishes we tried at Aseania Seafood and the ever smiling server, manager and chef made us feel very welcome.
Marrakesh Musicteque Club & Lounge
One of the few popular night haunts in Langkawi is Marrakesh – the nigh club at Aseania. The have a lovely dance floor with popular DJ’s and live music every night, interesting cocktails and lovely Moroccan decor. The unique interiors are surely the selling point of this place and the plush leather couches in the VIP area.
Funfilled time with Kids at the Mini Water Theme Park
A 154 meter swimming pool, a wave pool, water slides, waterfalls, bridges, lazy river, jacuzzi and mushroom pool – all form a part of this enjoyable mini water theme park housed at Aseania Resort.
I enjoyed lounging or reading a book at the sun deck during day and even in the evenings. It was clear this was a hotspot for family, kids and those traveling in groups.

Disclaimer – My folks and I were guests of Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi Island, but the review states my opinions and personal experiences only. We were totally floored by the hotel staff’s hospitality and the fact that we got to try the best seafood in Langkawi *Burp*!
