24 Hours in the Lap of Luxury at Radisson Blu, Pune

Carlson Rezidor is truly a class apart, being one of the top hotel chains in the world. Its upper upscale brand, the Radisson Blu is renowned for their high quality and hospitality standards with ‘Yes I Can’ service philosophy.

My cousins and I had a chance to spend 24 hours in the lovely Radisson Blu in Pune, India, and we were spoilt to the hilt and treated like royalty. For those who like to be pampered and fussed over, their ever smiling and helpful staff would be happy to oblige.

With over 141 well equipped, clean and spacious rooms, a fitness center with morning Yoga and meditation sessions, rooftop swimming pool, spa, restaurants which serve mouth watering cuisines, conference rooms and more, Radisson Blu caters to both business and leisure travelers.

The Hotel is located just 6kms from Pune International Airport and is the First Access 5 Star Hotel from the booming International High-Tech Companies and Corporate Houses in EON-Special Economic Zone, World Trade Centre, Magarpatta IT Park and Ranjangaon MIDC, which is the epicenter of manufacturing industry in Pune.

Restaurants in Radisson Blu, Pune Kharadi

No matter what your mood for the day is – from sweet delights to Indian delicacies, scrumptious buffets or Mexican fineness, Radisson Blu has it all. Enjoy the delectable grub at one of their specialty restaurants, all-day-diner, by the rooftop pool or in the comfort of your room.

Carmine – One of my favorite places in Radisson Blu and perhaps where I spent the most time enjoying their wide array of palates in the all-day-dining buffet. With a live kitchen , amazing assortment of breads and desserts, cuisine from around the world and a la carte menu for anything else, you have it all here! I must’ve spent around 4 hours total (out of my precious 24 hours) trying out various delightful fineness’ at Carmine.

The Bridge – This combination specialty restaurant offers Mexican, Indian and Italian flavorsome delights well spun together for the ultimate foodgasm. The adjoining Skye lounge bar offers an entire menu boasting of the best imported wines, whilst the Bridge only serves fresh local produce with imported chilies and cheese. Lovely western music every evening adds to the charm of the Bridge which is a must-visit if you are at Radisson Blu.

Citrine – The cake and bake shop – If the umpteen dessert options at Carmine are not enough, head to Citrine to tantalize your sweet tooth or to get your caffeine fix for the day.

The Great Kabab Factory – Authentic Indian cuisine served with style in an intricate decor and live music in evenings. Can things get any better than that? I guess not, this tops my list of restaurants at Radisson Blu, Pune hands down. Full marks for the food and the grandeur. Click here for a full review of The Great Kabab Factory.

Our only complain was that the swimming pool was small (as compared to 5 star standards) and not very clean. However, the ambiance and service at the pool was amazing.

Special thanks to – Sous Chef Devendra Kumar, F&B director Vishi Oberoi, Jr. Sous Chef Zameer Ahmad, F&B Asst Mgr Vishal Gaikwad, Asst Mgr Amit, PR Manager Dipika and the entire staff of Radisson Blu for our pleasant and extremely enjoyable stay. One of my cousins fell extremely sick in the hotel and we were given special care, doctor on call, medicines and all services for a quick recovery. The treatment was exceptional and everyone went out of their way to make us feel special. This is what I call 5 star hospitality.

Disclaimer – We were guests of Radisson Blu Pune but all opinions are honest and unbiased. We were treated as royalty and this experience will stay with me for a long time to come.

  1. The salad bar looks amazing and I love how the kitchen is open so you can see them cook. This looks like a nice place to stay if I have a layover since it’s so close to the airport.

  2. I love that you mentioned the wifi! This is key for me whether travelling for business or pleasure. Shame about the pool, but sounds like the service was up to scratch and the food pictures are enticing!

  3. That dessert bar looks amazing. I would probably just head there first! And I love open kitchen concepts. It’s so fun to watch the chef’s cooking.

All day buffet? Hold the phone – I’m there. Looks like your hotel stay was very relaxing. I need to do that again soon!

  5. All looks great. Comfortable looking room, great food choices and a chance to watch the chef (always love doing this). Such a shame your cousin was sick but great that they looked after you so well.

  6. That dessert bar has me! That’ll be the first place I go haha!! This place looks really nice! 🙂
